This month we have decided to celebrate our beautiful Maddy. She has been training with us for over a year and still like us (even if she still hates running during our session!).
See below for an insight of her journey with FAT…
Maddy, how did you hear about FAT, do you remember your first session?
Over lockdown I did a couple of the instagram sessions, which were great fun. And then post-lockdown (May last year maybe?) my flatmates managed to talk me into coming along to a session, and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I vaguely remember my first session involving a lot of burpees…
We have shared a few workouts together, what makes you keep coming?
I always know I’ll get a good sweat in, there’s always good hype music, and if I make a Saturday session, the massive draw card for me is going for coffee at Williams after.
What would you say to someone hesitating to come to FAT?
Get in amongst that newbie deal and just give it a crack. You never know until you try. All the workouts are super adaptable to different fitness levels, you can kind of pick how hard you go. And Kev and Eli are just so bloody friendly and welcoming, I think you’d find you’re hooked in no time.
What are your health, life goals for 2021?
I’ve been trying to make more of an effort to keep myself moving and getting myself outside in the fresh air. Not only for my fitness, but also for my mind. Work-wise, I’m in an office space all day long, so I’m starting to get my head around the importance of movement to look after myself.
Do you have a most memorable moment with us (lol)?
Last winter, Kevin took a session at the Greenhouse that honestly was about an hour and a half because he just kept getting all excited about adding ‘one more core crusher’ or ‘one more run’ - looking back we laugh, but at the time it definitely was not funny.
