Yacht Coach Interview

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your movement background?

I am a lover of the outdoors whether that be hiking, surfing, watching the sunset, you name it. I have been a group fitness instructor for a few years and have a huge passion for holistic health and yoga as a student, but also a certified yoga teacher. I have grown up with a love for movement including ballet, contemporary, hockey and touch rugby. I think it's super important to move my body in a way that makes me feel mighty fine, whether that be practising yoga, pumping weights, attending group fitness classes or dancing around the house.

What are your top 3 pieces of advice to build a Healthy routine on a yacht?

Getting natural light into your eyes first thing in the morning - gaze at the horizon (rather than screens), hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! If things are feeling stressful on the boat, always come back to your breath and check-in with how it feels in the body.

Which advice would you give to an online first timer participant?

Don’t be afraid to ask questions. If you’re not sure what the movements are or need help with technique, ask away! Even though the coaching is through a screen I am still able to guide you through an epic workout.

What are your 3 top body weight exercises?

Burpee tuck jumps, bear crawls and commandos - those bad boys burn!

What to expect when we are training with you?

Banging tunes, big smiles and opportunities to progress your training.
